Daily Challenges

Are you experiencing some issues with managing your day-to-day activities,
in your work or in your personal life?

Perhaps you’re still doing the core things that you need to -you go to work, you take care of yourself (mostly) and have some people that are somewhat close to you. But for the most part, you don’t share these changes in mood that you’ve been experiencing.

You might be feeling down and irritable. You feel tired. So sometimes it feels better for you to isolate yourself and stay away from others. The negative thoughts you have about yourself may keep you from reaching out to others.

You worry others can’t or won’t understand you, and how you’re feeling because you’re not even sure why you feel the way you do to begin with. You may also be thinking you are doing a disservice to those you care about by “bringing them down” with your concerns and low mood.

But those around you may care. They may want to know how you’re doing and how you’re feeling. But you can’t see it that way right now.

What’s going on

What you’re going through may be signs of depression. And when we are feeling depressed, it is helpful to share these thoughts and feelings with others. Maybe you’re not ready to tell your friends or family about these feelings. And that’s okay -you can discuss these feelings in therapy.

If you’re not quite sure that you’re feeling depressed, contact me anyway.

If you simply haven’t been feeling quite like yourself, and are experiencing challenges in your day-to-day life, let’s talk and explore what’s going on. That way, we work on improving your mood. You don’t have to keep feeling unmotivated, down, or bad about yourself.

You can start to feel better.

You’re not alone in having these feelings

Most people at some point in time, experience some or all of these signs of depression (in different intensities and frequencies). We all can benefit from therapy to help us identify what’s going on and learn new ways to process and cope with these emotions and challenges.

Some individuals may end up feeling this way because of something they’ve experienced in the past. Or maybe part of the reason we may feel down and unmotivated is because of current life events/changes. Sometimes things may be much more impactful to us than we realize.

I help individuals gain awareness into what’s impacting their mood. The clients I work with have a better grasp of how to use their resources, and strengths to help them with their daily challenges. My clients have been able to find more moments of joy, and recognize more of their self-worth, leading them to feel less down, lonely, and irritable. You can experience some of these successes as well.
